Amerikas historie, bind 2 (1776-1791)

The section on the Constitutional Convention turned a dry historical event into a genuinely gripping narrative. This volume really brings the debates and compromises of 1787 to life, making you feel like you're in the room.

I’m only halfway through the ratification debates, but the way the book weaves the Bill of Rights into the larger story of compromise and conflict makes it feel urgent, not like dry history. The chapters are dense but never boring—each one gave me a new angle on familiar events.

The section on the Constitutional Convention reads like a political thriller, not a textbook. It really made the debates over the Bill of Rights feel urgent and personal.
